Sophie Mercer thought she was a witch. That was the whole reason she was sent to Hex Hall, a reform school for delinquent Prodigium (aka witches, shape-shifters, and fairies). But that was before she discovered the family secret, and that her hot crush, Archer Cross, is an agent for The Eye, a group bent on wiping Prodigium off the face of the earth.
Turns out, Sophie’s a demon, one of only two in the world—the other being her father. What’s worse, she has powers that threaten the lives of everyone she loves. Which is precisely why Sophie decides she must go to London for the Removal, a dangerous procedure that will destroy her powers?
But once Sophie arrives she makes a shocking discovery. Her new friends, they’re demons too. Meaning someone is raising them in secret with creepy plans to use their powers, and probably not for good. Meanwhile, The Eye is set on hunting Sophie down, and they’re using Archer to do it. But it’s not like she has feelings for him anymore. Does she?

My Thoughts:
Demonglass is the second book in the Hex Hall series,
it start a while after the first book ends. We all remember that in the end of
the last book Sophie decided to go through the removal which is a process to
get rid of the supernatural power because she didn’t want to have to loss it
and kill someone she love like her mother for example.
Of course, when her father heard about her decision …
he finally decides to show up. When they met he told her he won’t allow her to
go through the removals but she insists that she don’t want to be a monster … and
seriously if I were in her place I will think a little bit, I mean it doesn’t
have to be like that for her … she’s only quarter Demon she may never lose it
and kill any one why does she have to go all the way and be such a negative
person … anyway her father then suggests taking Sophie back to his house and
she wants to bring her best friend Jenna [a vampire] with her. Her dad agrees
and he also suggest to take Cal as well ... and why cal that what
any one will think right … I mean it not just me … anyway you will have to read
the book to find this out.
However, when the three of them left the school Sophie
gets a strange feeling that all 3 of them will not be coming back … The three
of them spent the next few months in the
mansion aka Thorne Abbey. There where Sophie discovered just how much strong
she is and all about her secret and heritage.
Also she meets new people or friends should I say
unstable friends to be accurate … and for her surprise these friends are just
like her Demons … which mean that there are someone out there are creating
demons but why and for what this is what this book is really about … and while
she at it she finds out that she can’t trust anyone and start to suspects her
father co-worker … also she start to figure out who Archer really is.
Overall, I really loved Demonglass even more than Hex
Hall but the fact that it ends with such a cliffhanger …
I mean it is not like we can run to the bookshop and find the next book of this
series displayed … I really look forward
for the third book Spell bound which will be release in [March 13th
, 2012] :D
