Review: Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

My Thoughts:

This book is WOW … SO AMAZING and AWESOME … to tell you the truth I didn’t want to read this book because it is about alien but my friends insisted that if I didn’t read it … I will lose a good book from my shelf … anyway there is one things I want to say to these friends “THANK YOU” you were right this is one fantastic book :)

When I start reading I couldn’t stop till I reach the last page … the story is about Katy a girl who moved from her city to this unknown town because her mother thought it is about time they start a new life away from all the thing that will remind them of her father who had a cancer and died three years ago … anyway, in this town that they moved to their neighbors are some weird twin brother and sister who somehow seems to hide something form her ... Katy became friend with Dee, one of the twins [ the sister ] but her brother didn't approve of this friendship which was the reason he and Katy always fighting and quarreling ... Daemon, of course is very handsome, sexy and somehow very attractive … until he open his mouth and you have this feeling that you want to strangle  him with you pare hand.

Throughout the book Katy will learn that they both are alien who came from another planet because their home planet has been destroyed by some other alien who want their ability … and somehow she will get involved with one of these bad people so Daemon and his sister Dee who become Katy best friend will keep her near so they can protect her. 

How did she gets involved? ... the answer is that because every time Dee and Daemon use their ability on or near Katy they keep a track on her ... somehow she become a Christmases tree ...  which make it easy for the Arum's [enemies] to find them.

Finally, I have the feeling that this book is going to be a start for a very good series :D
