Three
years ago, Sophie Mercer discovered that she was a witch. It's gotten her into
a few scrapes. Her non-gifted mother has been as supportive as possible,
consulting Sophie's estranged father--an elusive European warlock--only when
necessary. But when Sophie attracts too much human attention for a prom-night
spell gone horribly wrong, it's her dad who decides her punishment: exile to
Hex Hall, an isolated reform school for wayward Prodigium, a.k.a. witches,
faeries, and shape-shifters.
By
the end of her first day among fellow freak-teens, Sophie has quite a
scorecard: three powerful enemies who look like supermodels, a futile crush on
a gorgeous warlock, a creepy tag-along ghost, and a new roommate who happens to
be the most hated person and only vampire student on campus. Worse, Sophie soon
learns that a mysterious predator has been attacking students, and her only
friend is the number-one suspect.
As
a series of blood-curdling mysteries starts to converge, Sophie prepares for
the biggest threat of all: an ancient secret society determined to destroy all Prodigious, especially her.
From: Goodreads - Hex Hall
My Thoughts:
Hex Hall is the first book of the Hex Hall series, this
book is about sixteen years old Sophie Mercer who is a witch … believe me I always
liked book about witches of wizard like harry potter … but my liking start with
the TV series Salem witch … I don’t know if any of you watch it is amazing :D
Anyway, Sophie lives with her mother and they been
moving from city to city for a long time now to make sure they hide Sophie’s
secret but one day Sophie wanted to help her friend so she used a love spell
but the spell fire back … that was when her father who doesn’t live with them
decides as her punishment to send her to Hex Hall, a school for trouble maker supernatural
teens.
In her first day at Hex Hall, she meets her crush,
forms three powerful dark witches as her enemies and ends up with a vampire who
happens to be the outcast of the school as her best friend and roommate. I really
loved the development of the events …I find it hard to stop reading.
This book is funny and humorous but is has it mysteries
part and scary moments … I really loved this book it was easy to read … it is brilliant
and remarkable book, I really recommend you to read it.
Nice review, I have been wanting to read this series.
