My Thoughts:

City of Bones is the first book of The Mortal Instruments series; the story is about 15 year old Clary Fray who lived with her mother Jocelyn, an artist in Brooklyn. Her father as her mother told her, died before she was born.

The story start when Clary and her best friend Simon where in the underage club, she met there strange teenagers who were about to kill someone so when she stepped in to try and stop them the three were so shocked that she can see them since they are suppose to be invisible for the human eyes or mundane as they like to call them.

Who are they? I think you can guess … Ok ok, I will tell you they are Shadow hunters warriors who have the ability to fight demons and kill them, and the boy that Clary thought they are going to kill, actually they killed is actually a demon … the question is why Clary can see them and then why did demon attracts Clary and kidnapped her mother.

Clary have been saved by Jace a young shadow hunter, who think that Clary can see them because she might be a shadow hunter as well or at least that she have the blood in her … Jace is rude, harsh and so arrogant.

so they decided to protect her until they find out every things about her and her mother ... then Clary lived with the shadow hunter in their place and start to learn a lot of her past ... things that made her angry actually.

Over all, this is one of the book that you will never think it is boring … although there are lots of secrets but that part of the fun … I mean secrets means there are a lot of things in the past and about the future that you need to discover and put it in order so you can see the whole picture :D
